E N D
Interoperability & Integration Innovation Lab • Vision: Move the health information technology (HIT) industry to the “future state” required to facilitate and support patient-centered, economically feasible, improved quality healthcare to the benefit of personal and public health • Mission: Accelerate innovation by significantly reducing the cycle time and cost from idea to market of disruptive HIT http://i3l.gatech.edu/
I3L Gateway to the GT Health Cloud & Partnership Internet Resources • I3Engagements • Interoperability Demonstrations • Vendor Collaborations • Workforce Training • Student Training • Engineering & Research
What the GT Health Cloud Provides • Provides a virtually available suite of open source and commercial resources for collaboration and “co-opetition” • Interoperability evaluations, demonstration and formal standards testing services, research opportunities, and commercialization assistance • An evolving “state-of-the-market” learning suite of products for workforce training and development • A continuously refreshed product suite
Access to Cloud Resources Four I3L Gateway Service Lines • Each Service Line provide access to one or more GT Health Cloud Resources • Support for Identity and Access Management Policies Privacy – synthetic data, de-identified data, “real data” Security – Audit log reporting, PKI encryption in flight Scalability – Access to professional cloud resources and high-performance computing • Service Line Descriptions: Testing Services – supports standards-based conformance testing; usability testing; performance testing; and tests software ports to cloud-based platforms; synthetic data only Proof-of-Concept Services – supports education and innovation; focused on transition strategies from legacy products to new product concepts and applications – a non-production environment with synthetic data only Light Production Services – (FUTURE) supports the translational research step from POC to real data; allows both identified and de-identified datasets for both active patient care and analytics Full Production Services – (FUTURE) supports the translational research step from Light Production to full Scalability; implemented in cloud-based SaaS environments , especially for research requiring large transaction volumes datasets for translational research and public health analytics
