Here are some of the things and facilities you can do while staying at Blue Gem Tourist Park: Landscaped Pet Friendly Caravan and Camping Park with 42 powered sites with green grass and lovely gardens. Clean and tidy. 1. Shop Hours 7.00am to 7.00pm- Bread (Fresh bread Mon Wed Fri) , Milk, Ice, Groceries, Newspapers, Take Away Food, Gas, Fuel, Jewellery,

  2. Fossicking Licenses and Hire Equipment; If you have any special requests please ask. (eg. Birthday Cakes. etc.) 2. Laundry- Open 7am — 7pm. Washing Machines $ 4.00 (4 x $1.00) or $6.00. Approx. 40 minutes per wash. 3. Dryer- 4 x $1 Coins approx 40 minutes per dryer; Please ask at the shop if you require an iron. 4. Camp Kitchen- Free gas BBQ , Microwave, Fridge / Freezer, Toaster, Kettle, Sink and covered entertainment area; 5. Do you have a talent?- Let us know and we can talk about some entertainment. 6. Pool- There is a brand new solar heated public pool about 100m up the road. 7. Notice Board- Please check the notice board in the amenities for what’s happening around town. 8. Pets- Dogs on approval. Dogs must be kept on a leash & please walk your dogs outside the park. 9. Please pick up after your pet- No Dogs permitted in cabins or camp kitchen. 10. Fossicking Park- We have our own Fossicking Park. Try your luck! Wash from the creek is not to be washed in the park. 11. Fossicking Tag Along Tours- Enquire at the Shop, we can help organise these. 12. Waste Water- Please dispose of grey waste water (water from your sinks) into the dump point near the amenities building. 13. Dump Point /Chemical Toilets- We do not have a dump point here at the Park, however there is a Dump Point situated near the Sapphire Public Toilets (opposite the water facility). The chemicals from these toilets can cause major problems with the park septic system so please use the public dump point. See the girls in the shop for directions. 14. Please help us to conserve our precious water- No washing cars or caravans or filling fossicking water drums at the park. Please use the water facility. 15. Water For Fossicking- Water required for Fossicking is located near the public toilets. A very small charge applies. Please ask for directions at the shop. 16. Doctor- We have a medical Centre here in Sapphire, the Doctor visits on Thursdays. However we have a full time nurse who can do just about anything medical M- F 9–3. 17. Emergencies call 000- an ambulance station is at Sapphire

  3. 18. Internet Access- Need to check emails / Internet Access etc? We have the best internet access in the Gemfields area. No computer, not a problem the Gemfields Community Centre open Mon-Fri 9am-3pm 19. Feel like a night out- A Free bus runs to and from Anakie & Rubyvale Hotel on Friday nights please enquire at the shop for a Bus Timetable. 20. Markets- Every Saturday morning in Rubyvale and every Sunday Morning from April through to September at the Sapphire Footy Fields across the road from the Park. You will need to take cash. 21. Checking Out- Check out time is 10 am. Don’t forget to return your keys and receive your deposit back.
