Beamline Optics Status at 2nd Aug. TT: Transport & Turtle G4: G4Beamline (incl new Ckv1) • We have fully evaluated 1st pass solutions for all 200MeV/c cases. MeV/c CM14-ε-p tunes=1st passes Collimation used below 6p at present
...example G4BL data from 1st 200MeV/c solution set. Some G4BL data from the CM14-1,6,10,200 cases: (incl new Ckov1) eg. emittances (within +/-10% cut):- 200,"1pi" 200,"6pi" 200,"10pi" (ALL beam:-) ε bit high (as known earlier). Ditto other params benefit from optimisation under G4BL…
…example G4BL data from 1st 200MeV/c solution set. Some G4BL data from the CM14-1,6,10,200 cases: (incl new Ckov1) eg. Beam Rates:- w/o collimation for TOF0/Ckov1 yet. Normally we restrict to 2.5MHz
Aspirational Goals by CM16:- • Conclude on desired Diffuser radius. (currently 10cm radius) • Further Optimisation of the G4BL 1,6,10pi, 200MeV/c cases: - • (TJR/KW): eg. via: • : G4BL optimiser & χ2 on Twiss/εn (TJR/KW) • : TTl/G4BL handshaking ? • : TTl beam matching UStr ? • (out of sol fringe field) • : @ same time should cte to try benchmarking G4BL??! (but is always down the list :( ) • Reaction to any formal Beamline Review feedback. - • : nothing heard yet. • Some Goals Aspired to by CM16:-
Some New Turtle Beamlines cases (/into G4BL) (KT/..) • Provide data to support Data Challenge. (KW/CR) • Look again at Steering Magnets for d/str. Also up/str? (KT/DJA?) • Some Goals Aspired to by CM16 ctd… eg. Re-attempt the lo-emittance cases using optics alone. (some potential ) eg. An extremum ie 140/10pi for example?
People changes now until CM16 • Some important people may have less time shortly (KW / CR). • TJR available time will increase hopefully (full time Muons Inc shortly) • New postdoc @ Brunel, 50% on beamline, beginning with us soon… • Will begin to integrate with work from early September onwards
