  2. Boaters should know about registration requirements, recording methods, and title search guidelines for the State of Alabama • Some states have titling for boats and others do not. Alabama does Not issue titles. • Go to the Marine Patrol Division (AMP) to get these • Boat Registration Number in Alabama starts with the letters “AL” • The Reg.
