1. Kindergarten Connection Mrs. Williky April 11, 2014 E-mail: jayne.williky@gcisd.net Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there were many kindergartners who were learning about fairy tales. This week, we read several familiar stories that included groups of three characters: pigs, bears, and goats. In science, we explored magnets and discovered that magnets attract iron and steel, but not all metals. In math, the children continued to use fun manipulatives and story mats to act out addition problems.Next week, we will journey to the kingdom to meet kings, queens, and princesses. In social studies, we will learn about where we live… city, state, country and world. Glenhope is hosting Career Day on 1st . Please let Mrs. Robinson know if you would like to volunteer to speak to the students about your interesting career. Word Wall Word behind Thank you very much for all that you have done for me this week. The cards on Monday were adorable and the flowers on Tuesday were beautiful. Wednesday’s snacks were yummy and I can’t wait to use the Starbucks and spa gift cards that I received on Thursday. Friday’s PTA lunch and desserts were scrumptious! I treasured the children’s little notes and special treats throughout the week ~ what fun! It is nice to feel so appreciated. You are truly wonderful parents and you have precious children.
