  14. Azure Foundation Educational Workshop The primary goal of the Azure Foundation Educational Workshop is to accelerate a customer’s fundamental knowledge of the Azure platform. Starting with a general overview of Azure and its components, the workshop then drills down into four specific areas that cover: What will you learn in each segment? Governance. Assist organizations in understanding the Azure Enterprise Scaffold, the importance of implementing governance in Azure and how their organization might go about developing their internal Governance plan. We go through each component of the Enterprise Scaffold from Azure subscription controls, access controls, using policies to control Azure, the importance of naming conventions and tagging and much more. Monitoring and Management. Assist organizations in how they can monitor and manage Azure. We will review built-in Azure options such as Azure Monitor, Azure Advisor, Security Center and Log Analytics. We will also provide an overview of monitoring needs, management options and reporting. Security. Assist organizations in understand the services available in Azure to assist with locking down and hardening their environment. Networking. Assist organizations in understanding the networking options in Azure from ExpressRoute to within Azure and in a Hybrid scenario. We will also review Azure (and partner) components for networking such as gateways, firewalls, load balancers etc.
