  5. Start Date • For the first 2 weeks Primary ones only come in morning • Monday 3rd September full days (9.00am-3.15pm)

  6. Parental Involvement • Meet the Teacher Meetings - September • Curricular Open Events • Parents Evenings – twice a session • Other opportunities to speak to Teachers • Parent Helpers – special talents! • Involvement in Parent Council • Homework

  11. Items children will need • Jacket / Suitable shoes • Uniform • Gym Kit - Shorts, T-Shirt, gym shoes • Painting Apron • School bag • Homework bag ALL ITEMS TO BE NAMED!

  12. Typical day 9am – Register and lunches. Morning start activity Literacy Activities – learn new sounds, reading or writing 10.30am – Playtime 10.50am - Numeracy Tasks 12.20pm- Lunch time 1.15pm – Gym, drama or music 2pm – Topic Work (IDL) 3.15pm – Home Time 

  13. Break Time – 20 minutes • 10.30 – Playtime • Encourage healthy snacks & drinks • Jackets – gloves etc in winter • Supervised by PSAs

  14. Lunch Time • Packed Lunch, School Dinner or Home Lunch • P1-P3 children = FREE school meals • Lunch 12.20 - 1.15pm • Variety of outdoor toys and games • Class rota for football on the Astro Turf • Lunch clubs
