What is NCES? • Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES) is the information sharing foundation for the • Command and Control; • Business; and • Intelligence Domains • NCES will allow users and information systems to: • Find and access relevant information; • Expose the information they produce for others to discover; • Collaborate; • Distribute data; • Increase performance and reliability of data access, and; • Utilize the enterprise infrastructure for evolving DoD systems to a Service Oriented Architecture. NCES connects people/systems who have information with people/systems who need information 2
