Steps for Organising an International Study Tour 1) STEP 1. CONTACT G.E.T. FOR QUOTE / ITINERARY Contact G.E.T. to gain an accurate quote for your proposed tour and itinerary 2) STEP 2. THE FIRST MEETING WITH SCHOOL ADMIN Arrange a meeting with school administration to discuss your proposal and plans for a study tour. 3) STEP 3. THE FIRST MEETING WITH STUDENTS Call a meeting of interested students and provide them with a letter for parents outlining the objectives of the tour, anticipated dates, approximate costs and advantages of the tour. Include a tear-off response sheet to return as an expression of interest and seeking further details. 4) STEP 4. A PARENT/STUDENT/TEACHER MEETING If sufficient interest is shown organise an evening. G.E.T. can supply a powerpoint of a recent school excursion to the destination. 5) STEP 5. LODGE DEPOSIT WITH G.E.T. A deposit is necessary so that tour arrangements may be confirmed with carriers, accommodation houses etc. An invoice will be sent for amount with payment deadline quoted.
Steps for Organising an International Study Tour 6) STEP 6. BALANCE OF PAYMENT Send a letter of receipt to parents, and outline a schedule for balance of payments based on deadline for final payment advised by G.E.T. 7) STEP 7. FINAL PAYMENT Final payment invoice will be sent to you with a deadline 65 days prior to date of travel. With this payment it will be necessary for us to receive a full names list of passengers. 8) STEP 8. THE FINAL MEETING Hold another information session for parents to discuss the finer details of the tour, spending money, accommodation, packing suggestions, meeting times, etc., 9) STEP 9. THE DEPARTURE On day of departure a G.E.T. representative will be at the airport to co-ordinate check-in.
