Intro: Disney • The Walt Disney Company was founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt and Roy Disney as an animation studio, it has become one of the biggest Hollywood studios, and owner and licensor of eleven theme parks and several television networks, including ABC and ESPN. • The company has been a component of Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. Mickey Mouse serves as the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company. • The anthropomorphic mouse has evolved from being simply a character in animated cartoons and comic strips to become one of the most recognizable symbols in the world.

  3. Disney’s Organizational Culture • Disney has created a culture for their employees where they feel that they are valued as an individual and a vital part of the team. The basic belief is that you cannot have happy guests if you do not have happy employees, which is an example of organizational culture and can be an example of human resources practices. • Disney's organizational culture is built upon innovation, quality, community, storytelling, optimism, and decency because the foundation of the company was based on the very same culture we see today in the above mentioned beliefs of Walt Disney.
