  5. Auguste Mariette- founded Egyptian Antiquities Service and world famous Egyptian Museum • Gaston Maspero- helped build Egyptian Museum and edited first 50 volumes in immense catalogue at museum • Both- French and worked on Egyptian Museum together Two Famous Egyptologists

  6. Gaston Maspero- edited first 50 volumes of immense catalogue in Egyptian Museum • Jean Francois Champollion- deciphered hieroglyphs using Rosetta Stone as principal guide Anything Else Famous
