  2. Aim of the assessment • Evaluate the prevalence of IDD among school children ( 8-10) and pregnant women in 3 regions of Tajikistan. • Assist situation with salt iodization • Evaluate public awareness/knowledge on IDD prevention

  3. Methodology of IDD assessment • 30 cluster approaches has been applied (total 90 clusters from 3 regions) • Total interviewed – 3060 • Children – 2700 • Pregnant women - 360 • RTK – 3060 • urine test – 1260 • Salt titration - 1105
