How do I do the Rule of Thirds? Imagine a Tic-Tac-Toe Grid in your viewfinder (you might have a settings that will allow one to show) Try to align your subject along the gridlines The most optimal placement for your subject matter is at the intersection of the gridlines
When faces are present, try to align the eyes with the gridlines

Try to use the Cut-out’s template & the rule of thirds to find examples of each of the elements of art in magazine PHOTOGRAPHS. • Use the frame as a viewfinder & imagine your rule of thirds grid, to make the best “new photos” (examples of the elements) as possible. • Trace and cut-out each example the same size as the template. • Glue the examples onto the appropriate spaces (the rectangles) on the definitions worksheet. • Only use photographs!!!
