Need to Hire a Skip Bin? • Whether you’re expecting a lot of waste from a house party, home renovations or a major garden makeover, a skip bin hire in Perth is an easy and affordable way to dispose of large quantities of waste. • If this is your first experience hiring a skip bin, you may be wondering how to get the most out of your hire. To make sure you get the best bang for your buck, we’ve put together some tips for getting the most out of your skip bin.
Choosing the Right Bin for the Job • There’s no need to hire the largest bin if you will not produce enough waste to fill it. Not sure how much waste will fit a certain sized bin? • To give you an estimate, our smallest bin (3m³) holds approximately 3 to 4 standard trailer loads of rubbish. A 4m³ bin would hold 4-5 trailer loads of rubbish and a 6m³ bin would hold 8-9 trailer loads.
Packing Your Skip Bin Properly • When you use a skip bin, it should only be filled to the top edge of the bin with no loose bits sticking out. When filling, getting the most out of your space is a bit like Tetris – try to fit as much in as you can. • Little things count – break down cardboard boxes and lay them flat, push the air out of plastic bags, and take a minute to think about how you’ll load it before starting (you won’t want to dig in and do that after it’s full! Overfilled bins are a safety hazard, so if you’ve overloaded, we cannot collect the bin. • We may need to contact you and ask you to remove the excess waste. Save yourself the hassle by only filling it to the top edge to begin with.
Keep The Bad Stuff Out • Bonza Bins accepts most types of waste, but we do have a few no-go items. For safety reasons, you cannot put the following items into the bin: - Truck tyres, - Hazardous waste, - Liquid waste (chemicals, oil, paint, etc.), - Car batteries, and - Asbestos. • If you’re unsure whether something, like a piece of fencing, contains asbestos, you can ask the driver to look at it during delivery time. It pays to make sure, because if a driver notices asbestos while tipping the bin, there are extra costs associated with an asbestos contaminated bin. • When you hire a skip bin with Bonza Bins, we want you to enjoy the full benefits, so give us a call today.
