The clinic consists of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who donate their time to assist individuals with cleft lip-palate and craniofacial anomalies. The team may include professionals from: • Audiology • Dentistry • Nursing • Orthodontics • Otolaryngology • Pediatrics • Plastic Surgery • Social Work • Speech Language Pathology • In addition, referrals may be made to professionals from the following disciplines or agencies: • Geneticist • Neurosurgery • Nutrition • Prosthodontics • Early Childhood Intervention • Public Schools Mission Statement • The goals of the Lubbock Cleft Palate Team are: • To provide children of the South Plains with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to caring for children with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other craniofacial anomalies. • To ensure that our patients are cared for by a team of professionals who have interest and expertise in craniofacial anomalies, and who continue to use the latest research and technology in their practice. • To ensure that all children needing services are treated. • To provide families with the necessary skills to be able to participate in the child’s treatment plan.
