No End in Sight By Jeremy Talbot
deBa’athification of the Iraqi culture, government and economy • This was the removal of Sadam Hussein's political party. • Not only were the people in charge removed, but everyone that was in that party even so they wouldn’t die was fired from their job and unable to be rehired anywhere. • This caused the economy to plummet in almost all areas and the loss of thousands of jobs.
No Provisional Iraqi Government. • One of the policies put into place that helped kick off the war between America and Iraq. • In plain English there was no government set up that had control over the country.
Disbanding Iraqi Military. YOU'RE FIRED • This was probably the worst thing we could have done as this lead to a lot of private malitias forming and insurgents, there could have been no possible good to come from this. • 300,000 men simply disappeared, but I bet almost all of them reappeared to kill our troops a bit later, with the guns they were allowed to bring home when in the army.
Cost of the war. • This war is costing us trillions of dollars and it is going to be my generation paying off the mistakes of our elders. • The estimated cost of the war is about 3 trillion dollars, however for a more accurate economical view of the war follow this link……. http://costofwar.com/ <---------------
