Plymouth Marine Science Education Fund Application for Grant-in-Aid Are you searching for the necessary funding to enable you to attend a scientific conference, symposium, training conference or to further career development in the marine sciences and related subjects between April 2010 and March 2011? The Trustees of the Plymouth Marine Science Education Fund are pleased to announce that a limited number of Grants-in-Aid of up to £250 will be available in 2010 to people who meet the criteria • You must be a Postgraduate student in receipt of a grant and involved in a research project at the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, the Marine Biological Association, the University of Plymouth, the National Marine Aquarium, the Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science or the Diving Diseases Research Centre • Your application (of no less than100 and 150 words) must be supported by your supervisor • If you are successful in being awarded a Grant-in-Aid, you must be prepared to produce a short report and presentation on the conference If you wish to apply, please obtain an application form from Christine Brown, Plymouth Marine Science Education Fund, at the University of Plymouth, A106 Portland Square, Drake Circus, Plymouth PL4 8AA Tel: 01752 584504; Fax: 01752 584540; email: c5brown@plymouth.ac.uk http://www.sahfos.ac.uk/pmf/pmsef_home_page.htm Closing date for applications for 2010 will be 31 January 2010
