Jack Barnes Elementary “The Pride” Team Cowden Families, Homework in our school is considered important and is recommended for all students. It’s important for students to begin to develop self-management skills and parental assistance can make a big difference. I do understand how little “family time” there seems to be in our busy world. The homework that is assigned is not intended to exceed 30-45 minutes nightly for 3rd graders.* If there is an occasional problem that arises, just let me know with a quick note in the agenda or an e-mail . Monday: Spelling– Begin to write your spelling words in ABC order. Stop when you are done with the first 10. Use the notebook at the back of your PRIDE binder.
