Funding application based around:Employing a support person for Cyclist.ie. 9 months part-time contractBringing cycling campaigning to the next level in Ireland building on our strengths and addressing our weaknesses.3 strands to our work:
1. Organisation- Partnership with An Taisce – Ireland’s National Trust- Consolidation of our member groups- Structure and Strategy…….Constitution / Council / Executive - Communications
2. Facilitating the Development of High Quality Cycle Schemes- Tracking Public Consultation Processes- Liaising with Cyclist.ie Groups- Drafting Submissions - Tracking Implementation of National Policy
3. Funding Development- Availing of Fundraising Courses run by ‘The Wheel’ etc.- Fund-raising group in Cyclist.ie- Bicycle Industry- Other Sources
Finally……..Helping to grow the profile of Cyclist.ie and of cycling- Higher profile with Government Departments & LA’s (e.g. with for LA Seminar yesterday)- More recognition in media circles
