After assessing customer needs, our electric toothbrush design will focus on portability, user friendliness, durability, and functionality. The on/off button is connected to the circuit • Controls the flow of current from the rechargeable battery. • When the circuit is closed (on) the battery powers the motor • Near the head of the toothbrush. • The motor turns a gear, which is connected to a cam gear unit • Then converts the rotary motion of the motor to a spinning/oscillating motion, which is then applied to the head.
