A Day in the Life of a Russian By: Madison Bowers
Move Around Madison Hi my name is move around Madison I have decided to go see my sister that lives in Russia. Everyday I will write in my journal and show what life is like in Russia.
Day 1 When I arrived in Russia I was greeted by many family members which is common in Russia , and we also sat down and had a great feast for my arrival.
Day 2 Today we took a small tour of the city of St. Petersburg where my sister lives and where I am staying for the next couple of weeks. There are also many other interesting cities in Russia that have a neat backgrounds . After we took a tour we decided to go to the grand hermitage museum and The Saint Isaac's Cathedral.
Day 3 Today we drove to the capital city Moscow to go shopping at the bazars and shops ,but when we arrived at the bazars and shops it was like a whole another world. Russia is very different than America because we don’t have shops like that, and the winters are very cold and the Russian people like much different sports like ice skating and hockey but most Americans like football and baseball.
Day 5 Today me and my sister went to the Olympics (which are in Sochi) and watched ice skating, skiing, and half pipe it was so cool ,and different because in America we cant have to winter Olympics because it is to warm but here in Russia the weather is perfect for winter Olympics.
Day 4 Today was amazing I got to experience the culture of Russia today we went to many cathedrals and got to see many religions (Orthodox Christianity the main religion). After that we went to a local ice skating rink and skated but it was so cold and I was not very good.
Day 6 Today me and my entire family went to church at St.Issac’s cathedral then we sat down and had a great feast for lunch after the service. After we ate we took the last final tours of the city (St. Petersburg)because tomorrow I would be leaving.
Day 7 Today I had to fly back home, but before I left I said goodbye to my sister one more time. This trip has been amazing. I have learned a lot from this experience and I hope one day I will get to come back to Russia.
