Practice Microscopic Histology Examination Each of the three Biology 211 laboratory examinations include a number of practical questions requiring the microscopic identification of tissues and important cellular structures. Photomicrographs of the required tissues and cells are included with the digital material in the corresponding laboratory on this CD-ROM. Labeled views of important cell structures can also be found in these laboratory modules. It is crucial to develop the ability to operate the microscope in order to obtain the clearest image possible. You should then practice recognizing the required tissues and cells microscopically. The ability requires practice and this Microscopic Histology Examination contains hundreds of simulated views through the microscope allowing for the identificationof structures in question. The HIDE/SHOW label feature included in Laboratories 1, 2, 3, 8 and 11 will also help develop this visualization skill. Along with this, time spent “hands-on” in the laboratory operating the microscope and viewing the slides, will greatly increase your success on this examination.Laboratories 1, 2, 3, 8 and 11 contain microscopic images. There is a navigation button from each of the menus in these laboratories to this practice practical examination.
