  1. WEIGHLINE - Static Installation Only 1 day of track downtime! No foundation construction!

  2. Typical rail sidings where scales are positioned for loadout.

  3. Cut out a 140” section of rail for installation of WEIGHLINE.

  4. Adjust tie spacing as required. (36” space between tie plates)

  5. Standard 4-hole joint bar 8” active weighing area Free-bending area 36” Correct spacing of tie plates clearly marked on WEIGHLINE sections.

  6. Sections are fastened to ties with rail plates and spikes.

  7. Check rail gauge and pack ballast for good rail support.

  8. Holes are drilled in existing rail to accept standard 4-hole rail joint bars.

  9. Two-draft system consists of four identical rail sections - same spacing as standard railcars.

  10. Interface cables are routed through flexible conduit to a junction box.

  13. Calibration is best done with a railcar of known weight.

  15. Scale is now ready to provide accurate weights.
