How to Log in on the student calculators • Press the key • Arrow down to Navnet • Press • Press again

Uses for the Activity Center • Students contribute points, lines, or data. • Students can fill out forms. • Activity settings can be prepared in advance. • Collected data can be disseminated back to students.

The same data from quick poll can be collected in the activity center and disseminated back out to the class via a list (existing activity lists). 0 means “not at all” and 1000 means “very important”. Activity Center
Collecting Data Open Activity Center Click contribute > lists> configure Choose L1 > click ok Check the lists from calculator box Start the activity and have students send list by pressing zoom Returning List Configure again Send existing lists back to each calculator Lists in Activity Center
The screen capture feature can take a snapshot of the class at any one time. The shot can be saved as a jpeg. “Every lessons uses Navigator” Screen Capture
Data can also be collected on forms • Start by choosing the form option
Forms are easy to set up Input the name and the list that you want it sent to:
Importing large lists into Navigator • Copy a list in Excel • Paste it into TI-Interactive • Export to computer and save as a list to the desktop • Open Navigator • Go to load > load lists> browse for the list
Sources for data for TI-Navigator examples • Consider RSS Feeds • Really Simple Syndications • Used for frequently updated info • Good for news! • Also for updated statistics • Think of filtered updates • You need an aggregator or feed reader to read these • Can be web-based or on the desktop-based
