Year’s Accomplishments April 2009: Deployment of the new Driver License System. May 2009: Deployment of TPWD Interface (Automated Boat Registration) May 2009: Deployment of DSHS Interface (Continuity of Care Interface). Pilot followed by Training and Deployment.
Year’s Accomplishments • November 2009: RSDWW • Initiated by a suggestion from this Group • Made possible because NDLS provides an XML return • April 2010: INTERPOL (first online training course)
FRVP/TexaSure • Financial Responsibility Verification Program • Enhanced to provide Insurance Status by OLN, ID and/or Name and Date of Birth • Currently Testing • Requires a re-bid every 5 years.
Batch Interface • DPS is working on providing the capability to receive a file via the TLETS network using FTP for processing through TLETS. • Will work on any message key. • Should be in production by May 31, 2010
NLETS Web Service • TLETS will exchange information with NLETS in XML • Initially most message keys will only be delivered with an NLETS message embedded in the payload of the XML • In the future, local agencies will have the option to receive XML tagged responses • DPS will apply a style sheet to those agencies that do not want XML. But this will enable TLETS to format many messages uniformly.
NLETS Chief Project • Criminal History Information Exchange Format • Purpose: Support BJS NCHIP Bureau of Justice Statistics National Criminal History Improvement Program Support the implementation of a standardized rapsheet in XML, either using GJXDM or NIEM • Status: the Joint Task Force for Rapsheet Standardization recently adopted an approach to provide the Juvenile and Court Information that was unavailable. • Should restart in the near future
Omnixx 4.0 • Omnixx 4.0 is being released • Certified for use on Windows 7 • Uses Java 1.6.x • Conversion Strategy not yet determined • Agency needs will be considered • New url will support the 4.0 • Old url will remain in place and support 3.2 • Datamaxx will be installing on DPS Test system in near future.
Corrections Photos • NLETS NCIEN project (Insane project) • NLETS Funding through the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). • 2 states acted as pilot Oregon and North Carolina • Will work with TDCJ • Timeline not yet established.
Driver License Photos • Provide Driver Photo in TLETS return. • From Texas Driver License System • From other states: 19 currently providing, 2 coming on line.
Status • Will start interstate exchange in October 2010 to be completed in December 2010 • Can already perform through Omnixx and the Switch, but • Must perform benchmarking in the NDLS system prior to deploying in state.
Local Agency Preparation • Will work on Omnixx with no issues • Will have to be sure your interface is coded to handle deliver of images. • Most Interfaces can go ahead and test using the NCIC Photo Transactions
Potential New Features ??? • Single form in Omnixx that combines TU and MO to make the ORI Validation Easier. • Forms in Omnixx for the SET transactions instead of using RDB. • Form in Omnixx to the LEOFA (Law Enforcement Officer Flying Armed) • Form in Omnixx to request Issuance of Amber Alert, Silver Alert, Blue Alert
New Features??? • Make RSDWW part of RSDW and let operator choose which pieces to fill in. • Allow Query to spawn off a QW based on OLN. • Allow Operator to request Driver History and/or various Vehicle Registration Types. • Put a field on the Interpol to some logging features for the local agency.
