Rationale and Aims • To determine if training at vVO2max (HIT) in Rowers can improve performance, • To establish if training at vVO2max could be more effective than intensive endurance training (PT).

Conclusion • 6 athletes withdrew from the study, • Structured training improves fitness & performance, • 7 out of 10 Rowers responded positively to HIT, • 2000m TT & relative VO2max improved & • 4-min all-out Power increased.
