IATE Activities • Launching and coordinating IATE projects with terminologists, translators and trainees • Feeding new terms and completing entries with missing languages • Consolidating entries in collaboration with the other Institutions • Managing marks and feedback • Collaborating with the technical IATE team

  4. Our IATE Services to the Units • Permanent IATE Helpdesk (phone and email) • Administration of the roles and rights in IATE • Training for terminologists, translators and trainees • Producing and updating IATE guides

  5. Allows quick storage of terms in the course of translation Available directly in the MS Word document Instant IATE search Collected terms are processed by TermCoord in IATE and completed in all languages Real-time Terminology

Proactive Terminology • Monitor the legislative procedures to identify the terminology needs of the translation units • Collect reference material on selected topics expected for translation • Provide the units with the material after a reliability check • Ensuring linguistic consistency of EP databases

  7. Representing the EP in inter-institutional terminology bodies Organising conferences and seminars in cooperation with universities and international entities Participating in international academic forums External Cooperation
