2. -  să identifice călătoria(excursia, drumeţia) ca activităţi de recreere şi odihnă activă; - să înveţe ce înseamnă relaxare şi instruire; - să definească şi analizeze cele trei etape: pregătirea, desfăşurarea şi valorificarea excursiei; - să-şi trezească interesul pentru a fi în contact direct cu frumuseţile inepuizabile ale naturii, cu creaţiile artistice, folclorice, cu mărturiile unei culturi milenare pe pământul patriei, cu observarea oamenilor în acţiune, a relaţiilor dintre ei; - să-şi dezvolte spiritul de echipă, participativ şi competitiv - to identify the voyage (the trip, the camping) as recreation and active rest activities; -  to learn what recreation (relaxation) and training mean; -  to define and to analyse the three stages: the preparation, the course and the valorisation of the trip; -  to gain interest in taking direct contact with the nature’s everlasting beauties , with the artistic and folkloric creations, with the evidences of a millenary culture on the country’s lands, with observing people in action and observing their relationships; - to develop their team spirit, their participative and competitive spirits. 8. Excursia e o chintesenţă a muncii educative. Ea uneşte în chipul cel mai fascinant toate laturile educaţiei. Ea pătrunde cu toate acele gânduri nespuse sau neîmplinite în celelalte activităţi. Excursia fie că este de o zi, două, o săptămână, două săptămâni, pe lângă „joc”, „plimbare”, „distracţii” trebuie să realizeze un popas de gând pentru oameni şi locuri, popas care va contura şi face neuitată ziua aceea. „A-ţi cunoaşte patria înseamnă a o iubi puţin mai mult” The trip is the essence of the educative work.
