What the master has done One day the master of some servant had to travel. He called his servant and entrusted them his property. • To one he gave 5 talents • To another he gave two talents • To another he gave one talents The master wanted his servants to work and trade because when he comes back they would “Give an account of your stewardship” (Stewardship mean taking care of something.)
What is Talents Talents are gifts. • Gifts such as wisdom, thinking, knowledge…etc • It is also found in each member of our body. The lord does not give us property all the time but sometimes he gives us what is useful to us. • Prayer We can all pray and prayer is the most important talent.
What the servants did? • The servant who took the five talents worked hard with honesty and his money increased. • The servant who took the two talents struggled honestly and the money increased. • The servant who took one talent dug the land and hid his talent. He is a lazy servant.
What will the master do? When the master came back he asked each of those three servant what they have done with their talent. Then when he reward the two servant that increased the money with hard work and honesty but he said lazy to the third servant that hide his talent. We shall stand before him one day to give account for what we did. He will ask for each talent he gave us. If we work with our talent lord will reward us.
