The Elements of a Photographic Portrait
Composition Your goal as you arrange or compose your model in your photograph, usually in the “Portrait” or vertical format, is to make it an interesting image.
Rule of Thirds The most attention getting part of an image or (center of interest) should fall approximately at the intersection of lines that divide the image into thirds
Poor Composition The center of interest here does not follow the Rule of Thirds
Lighting The way light hits your subject will effect the mood of the photograph. The Photographer must set the lights for the desired effect
