Luke 5: 1-11. “Fishers of Men”. As always, Jesus teaching the multitude [5:1-3]. They had come to Him, pressed about Him [1]. Had already seen and heard much [4:14-44]. some from Nazareth; “Isaiah fulfilled” [14-30]. some from Capernaum; miracles [31-41].

As always, Jesus teaching the multitude [5:1-3] • They had come to Him, pressed about Him [1] • Had already seen and heard much [4:14-44] • some from Nazareth; “Isaiah fulfilled” [14-30] • some from Capernaum; miracles [31-41] • others from Galilee; more preaching [42-44] “Fishers of Men” Luke 5:1-11
As always, Jesus teaching the multitude [5:1-3] • They had come to Him, pressed about Him [1] • He got into Peter and Andrew’s boat [2-3] • Easier to teach; a natural “amphitheater” • John 1:35-42 shows they already knew Jesus, • had decided earlier to follow Him • Luke shows this as a 2nd calling, a confirmation “Fishers of Men” Luke 5:1-11
