Discussion questions • Group 1 and 3: • Identify 3 key Terms of Reference where the environmental adviser can be instrumental to support the emergency shelter cluster in the implementation of that TOR • Group 2 and 4: • Identify 3 key activities (from pages 3 and 4) that will be the most strategic to result in positive environmental outcomes of the emergency response as a consequence of your work You have 10 minutes to discuss.

  6. Exercise: Implementing Environmental Policy through Good Practices • Review the document: “Emergency Shelter Policy with Regards to Environmental Issues” see Part III Policy Guidelines page __ • Your table will be assigned one policy to consider.

Exercise: Implementing Environmental Policy through Good Practices Examine your assigned Policy Guideline by addressing the following questions: • Why is this guideline important to good environmental practice? • What “good practices” would you propose to effectively implement this guideline? • What might be obstacles to implementing these good practices? • How would you overcome these obstacles? Take 15 minutes to discuss
