  1. Welcome to Mr. Helton’s Class Registration Day 2010

Information for today: • Parents may complete registration packet today or return it on Tuesday. • Please take the note and class rules sheet that is on your child’s desk and go over it with your child. • Students may leave their school supplies in the desk and in their locker (lockers are labeled with student names)

  3. Questions/Concerns? • If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mr. Helton.

  4. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton has been teaching for 13 years. This is his 4th year at Russellville.

  5. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton’s wife teaches 1st grade at Lincoln. Her name is Angela.

  6. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton has 1 child, Brooke, who is in Mrs. William’s class in 3rd grade.

  7. Get to know your teacher! • Brooke likes Hannah Montana!

  8. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton has a cat…Shasta. Shasta is a very crazy cat!! She had kittens, but we gave them away.

  9. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton has 1 brother and 1 sister. • His sister teaches at Union Heights. • His brother works at Evan’s Office Supply.

  10. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton collects frogs. He took a picture of Kermit at the Smithsonian in Washington DC.

  11. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton is not a grouch. Well, maybe sometimes!

  12. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton visited the White House with the Safety Patrol this summer!

  13. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton’s wife took a mission trip to Belize this summer with our church.

  14. Get to know your teacher! • Mr. Helton is the Minister of Music at Russellville Baptist Church.

  15. Did you know? • Mr. Helton went to Russellville! • His third grade teacher was Mrs. Seals! • Mr. Taylor was his principal!

  16. Did you know? • Mr. Helton is the Scholar’s Bowl coach with Mrs. Shadow. • Mr. Helton’s dad teaches at East Ridge!

  17. Did you know? • Mr. Helton’s almost got a paddling from Mr. Taylor for splattering ketchup on someone at lunch when he was in 4th grade! • Mr. Helton’s aunt teaches at Manley!

  18. Did you know? • Mr. Helton taught kindergarten for 3 years! • Mr. Helton taught 5th grade for 2 years!

  19. Did you know? • Mr. Helton grew up on a strawberry farm! • Mr. Helton was able to travel to England, Scotland, France, and Holland while in college!
