School Based Training • Schools based training • Pitched at an appropriate level • On-site training • Allowed teachers and support staff to be trained together • Training within the school’s own ICT suite • The structure of this type of training • Highly developed by ICT Coordinators and other in-house training deliverers.
Benefits I see ….in school • share, store and manage data and work. • Storing plans • It reduces the need for photocopying • Use of standardised templates
Benefits I see … wider community • Can be of interest to all age groups • Gives opportunities for families to work together • Allows many special needs of learners to be catered for, • Offers special possibilities for revising cross-generational relationships • Has many 'ways in' that are motivating to different groups • Supports many different subjects, topics and enthusiasms • Opens opportunities for employment.
The future…… • Develop and follow a strategy that uses technology to achieve better outcomes for learners. • Support learners to make effective, discriminating use of technology that meets their needs. • Enable parents to access and use technology for a positive impact of their children’s learning.
