Architect Meet with clients to figure out type, style and purpose of renovations or new building construction Design buildings and create plans, figure out building materials, costs and construction schedules Prepare sketches and models for clients Prepare or supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications and other construction documents for use by contractors and tradespersons Supervise activities on construction sites to give consent with specifications

  3. Education (Bachelor) Programs last five years and focus on architectural theory, structural design and construction methodology. Courses generally cover topics like environmental design and architectural documentation Receive instruction in the use of drafting tools and computer-aided design and drafting software. Also needs an internship to be qualified

Education A professional program in interior design is required to get started Typically takes two to three years and awards a certificate or an associate degree Bachelor's degrees are available, programs in interior design may be accredited by the Council for Interior Design Most schools that offer interior design programs enroll students through art, architecture or design departments.
