Recreation • The best places for a Honduras beach vacation are the Bay Islands off the north coast. The Bay Islands are best known for their wonderful diving sites. They are surrounded by the second largest coral reef in the world. Diving, snorkeling, fishing, and sea kayaking are popular things to do on a Honduras beach vacation to the Bay Islands. Gumbalimba Park , a family recreation park, has something for everyone: beach, kayaking, canopy tour, snorkeling, SNUBA, nature path, botanical garden, monkey and bird enclosures, and, of course, restaurants and gift shops. Historic Sites • Honduras is a tropical paradise attracting many tourists every year to its gorgeous islands, lush rainforests and picturesque mountains. Shopping &Entertainment • City Mall San Pedro Sula is the largest shopping center in San Pedro Sula, and the most exclusive in Honduras.
