II Buddy Ryan’s All Stars 2003-2004 Season
Welcome to the second edition of the Buddy Ryan’s All Star League Fantasy Football Herewith is the primer for the upcoming season. Please review and get back to me with any thoughts.
Well, what’ll it be there, young feller . . . Please let me know if you do not plan on playing this year. There are a few different things going on this year, but for the most part it will be the same as last year; complete with weekly previews and paddlin’s by the Wisey’s Bums.
Live Entertainment . . . We will hopefully be holding a live online draft this year. It will be held in Wenham, MA and I cordially invite you to participate. But it is not necessary to be present at the draft or to even participate live on the internet. Although I suggest it. It will be fun. Big screen TVs, foosball, beers, put me on the mosh pit pass me around. Fri. July 18th.
Know this . . . • Draft will be soon. Friday, July 18th. • Randomly generated draft order. • #1 picks first in first round, #12 picks last; #12 picks first in second round, #1 picks last; #1 picks first in third round, etc, etc. • No trading future draft picks.
Old teams, new teams . . . Unfortunately, not all teams will be returning. Nothing personal to those not asked back, but it’s a function of adding other people without, uh, dilution of our finely distilled league.
Am I the only one who cares about the rules . . . After last season’s series of trading debacles, here is the new rule. All trades offered during the week will become void as soon as the first game of the next week begins. No trades can be offered until after the players involved have played for the week. This way nobody gets blindsided with injured players.
A couple more claims . . . • I suggest keeping your same team name from last year, but you don’t have to. • Don’t know what the prize will be, but I’m not sure where we could possibly go from a David Patten autograph.
