  6. Advertisements • Consumer goods • Celebrities • Photographs • Comic strips Pop Artists used common images from everyday life: Roy Lichtenstein, Masterpiece, 1962

  7. Pop Artists used bold, flat colors like those found in: • Billboards • Magazines • Newspapers Campbell's Soup II, 1969,  AWF

  8. Many people liked Pop Art but some people felt it made fun of common people. • It was hard for some people to understand why Pop Artists were painting cheap, everyday objects Listerine Bottle, 1963,  AWF

  11. Assignment: • Please get a partner. • Choose a theme from one of the themes we had learned this year. • Decide what do you want to present (a photograph, painting, statue ect.). • Create your art using Pop Art elements. • Due Date: February 17th Good Luck!
