Game Storyline and Rules •  the player is encouraged to make choices and engage fully in an interactive environment. • the game is to organize the Sims' time to help them reach personal goals. • unlimited replay value, in that there is no way win the game, and the player can play on indefinitely

Game Storyline and Rules • Creation of Families • consists of creating a "family" (identified by a last name) that can hold up to eight members (four in Life Stories). •  providing the Sim a first name and optional biography, and choosing the gender (male or female), skin complexion (very light, medium, or dark) and age (child or adult) of the Sim.

  4. Game Storyline and Rules • Creation of Families • Families has a starting money depending on the number of members • Starting money of a single-member family is 16,000 simoleons.

  5. Game Storyline and Rules • Sims’ lives • directed on the basis of instructing them to interact with objects • may receive house guests • has free will • can die of old age or they can die prematurely from causes such as fire, starvation, drowning, and other things

  11. Disadvantages and Limitations • Requires high specifications • Community lots limit users to only access the façade of the building • Responds slowly to user interaction • Too many game revisions decreases the game integrity.
