About Guernsey • Guernsey is located some 100 miles of the coast of the UK and 30 miles from the west cost of France. Being an island, with a warmer climate than the UK, much time is spent outside; on the beach, walking the cliffs, island hopping or eating ‘al fresco’. • The Island has great sporting facilities and a programme of sporting events throughout the year. • Ask anyone who’s been here. Guernsey is a special place, a thriving community that welcomes its visitors with open arms and leaves a lasting impression on all who set foot on her soil. • Children have been playing rugby here since 1974 when the Mini section was formed with just 9 players. The Academy now boasts some 300 players spread over 12 squads from U7 to U19 Colts. The Academy is affiliated to Hampshire RFU and follows the RFU Continuum and training guidelines. • Teams from both the UK and mainland Europe have previously made trips to Guernsey. Teams in the past have also requested to play Jersey and they are more than happy to come across and play. With sufficient notice we will make every effort to accommodate this request
