Sites and visits in Iceland Northern Lights Tour The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are a spectacular natural phenomenon, often seen dancing around in the fantastic colours across the Arctic sky. Northern Lights can be seen when certain weather conditions are fulfilled, usually during crisp, cold and very still evenings.
Sites and visits in Iceland South Shore Adventure Visit the 200ft high Skógafoss waterfall then continue on to Seljalandsfoss waterfall to compare differing formations. Study coastal processes and wave characteristics along the black volcanic beaches and basalt-columned cliffs of the Dyrhólaey coast.
Sites and visits in Iceland Glacier Walk Then take the rare opportunity to see Sólheimajökull, a glacier tongue extending south from the Mýrdalsjökull Glacier, study the outwash plain, and witness glacial processes in action. During the 2 hour tour you will be walking on the southernmost glacier in Iceland where you will experience pure ice with amazing landscape.
Sites and visits in Iceland Golden Circle Tour The Pingvellir National Park is the first stop on this tour from where the forces of tectonic plates are clearly visible. The tour continues to Gullfoss, the most beautiful waterfall in the country as well as the Geysir geothermal area with its hot springs. The most active one Strokkur, erupts every few minutes. The last stop is the Kerio crater before returning to Reykjavik.
Sites and visits in Iceland The Blue Lagoon The Blue Lagoon is a unique wonder of nature, with pleasantly warm mineral-rich geothermal water in a middle of a black lava field. The naturally high levels of silica and minerals give the Lagoon its rich blue colour.
