  3. Workundertaken Installation of fabric on posts (“soft”) bank protection, and widening of the towpath

  4. Workundertaken Construction of new sheet- piled landing stage near Guildford Road bridge

  5. Workundertaken Refurbishment of existing landing stage (near model railway club), including installation of bollards

  6. Workundertaken Paving of entire length (about 400m) with hard-wearing roadstone

  7. Workundertaken Donation and installation of hard-wood seat near the new landing stage

  8. Costs £25K funded from Steljes environmental fine (administered by SHBC)

  9. Costs 330 man days by the Canal Society, equivalent to £27K value in kind, plus around £1K in cash donation

  10. However, please note… A long section of towpath down to the Canal Centre still needs repair…
