  2. A brief introduction. • Steel Drafting Limited uses StruCad, the world’s leading 3D structural steel detailing software to produce shop drawings. One of the features of the program is the ability to provide free software to enable clients, engineers and architects to inspect the StruCad model and view and print the drawings for each formal issue on a project. The software is referred to as StruCad Drawing Viewer and Struwalker. • The Struwalker program allows fully rendered 3D model of a project to be viewed in an interactive environment. A few of the main features of the Struwalker are: • Full display control. Zoom in and out, choice of elevation, plan views. • Find member and fitting marks, • Display member,fitting and bolt information. • Click on a member and bring up the associated fabrication, fitting, shaft and assembly drawings. • Measure tool. • Layers on and off. • For instructions on installing the software see StruCad Drawing Viewer presentation. Click Next When Ready

Struwalker main menu functions. • 1 – Fit • Zoom to fit whole model on screen. • 2 - Rotate • Free rotate model • 3 – Center View • Center the rotate command around a member. • 4 - View • Select direction to view model from. • 5 - Measure • Measure between two points. • 6 - Fly • Free first person “flight” through model.   4. Struwalker ‘right click’ functions. (To display listed function right click in a blank space) • 1 – Attribute Display • Turn on and off Layers, Change entity colours • and toggle dummy members. • 2 – Find Mark • Highlight and fit to screen the chosen member, • plate or cleat. • 3 – Find Assembly • Highlight and fit to screen the chosen assembly. 1 2 3 FIG. 2 Click Next When Ready

  5. Struwalker targeted ‘click’ functions. (To display listed function right click on a member,fitting or bolt) • 1 – Hide • Hide selected member, fitting or bolt. • 2 – Highlight Shop Fittings • Highlight all cleats shop welding to selected member. • 3 – Highlight Assembly • Highlight all members and cleats in labeled assembly • (in this case A001). • 4 - Enquire • Displays grade, size etc of selected member, fitting • or bolt. • 5 - Drawings • Display in StruCad Drawing Viewer desired drawing • of selected member, fitting or assembly. 1 2 3 4 5 FIG. 3 Click Next When Ready
