FASTI the Icelandic FM network and NordicFM will hold a FM conference in Iceland 27.august – 28.august 2007 26th August. Welcome reception in Akureyri in the evening. 27th August Conference full day, dinner in the evening. 28th August Conference – Icelandic themes in the morning and a study tour of Akureyri in the afternoon. The study tour will include a bit of history, planning issues and 2-3 buildings of interest, e.g. a new school, the new library and possibly the city museum. Registration fee for conference ISK 31.900,- (ca EUR 362). Students ISK 9.900,- (ca EUR 112). Conference language be in English Optional: 28th august An evening trip to the local island of Hrísey, with dinner. Price per person ISK 7.600,- (ca EUR 86)

A bus departs from Reykjavik at 9 am and we visit en route tourist attractions in Borgarfjörður, e.g. Reykholt and around the Vatnsnes peninsula for both history and natural attractions such as Hindisvík, Hvítserkur and Borgarvirki. Perhaps a visit to the seal museum at Hvammstangi. The overnight stay will be at hotel in Blönduós. Dinner in Blönduós. 26th August Depart in the morning and visit briefly Blönduós, Skagaströnd and Sauðárkrókur. Stop at the Emigration Centre in Hofsós and have lunch there. Drive over to Ólafsfjörður and Dalvík and arrive in Akureyri in late afternoon. Welcome reception in Akureyri in the evening.
