  2. IDAM takes this data and uses it to manage access to the Ultranet. It will:

  3. IDAM and the Ultranet will be available in line with the Ultranet deployment schedule.

  4. Username And password With IDAM your proof of identity comes from sources such as CASES21 and you need to verify this information when you register.

  5. Allows schools to manage their users’ identities, passwords and access to the Ultranet.

  6. YOU Not for P-2 IDAM administrators don’t have to manage every students’ identity and access Edumail account holders don’t need assistance from you.

  7. Most of these tasks take 15-20 seconds. Selecting 30 students to generate welcome letters takes approx. 1 minute.

  9. Principals and IDAM administrators will see more tabs than staff that don’t have admin rights!

  12. You can search for students as individuals or as groups.

  13. Letter must be handed to students in person.

  14. Years 3-12 students will use the self-service application. You will only have to ‘reset student passwords’ for very young students

  15. According to current password policy, student passwords have to be changed twice a year. 3 warnings before password expires.

  16. Ultranet support site will have links to documents for access management.

  17. You can only delegate rights that you already hold yourself.

  18. These 3 tasks need to be done early so students can get onto the Ultranet quickly and easily.

  19. Usernames can’t be personalised.
