  1. How many species are there? • Answer- 1,448,800 have been described.

  2. How is the immortal jellyfish immortal? • Answer- this jelly is able to revert back to a juvenile form once it mates. It does this by transdifferentiation (reverse metamorphosis).

  3. Why do some people have stronger genes? Example, the son looks exactly like the dad & nothing like the mother. • Answer- genes control traits (characteristics). Some genes are dominant over others. • Some traits are controlled by many genes.

  4. Why do we have limited eye color? • Answer- the trait of eye color is controlled by many genes and includes in its range brown to blue.

  13. How do you get taller? • Answer- height and length are achieved through rapid mitotic growth in your long bones.
