About the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition (GWRCCC) Part of network of nearly 100 coalitions nationwide covering major metropolitan areas whose mission is to reduce petroleum use by advancing alternative fuels and technology in the transportation sector CCC program is managed by the US Department of Energy (DOE) and GWRCCC is supported by DOE, stakeholders, grants and contracts In 2013 Clean Cities celebrated its 20th anniversary and the GWRCCC was one of the first CCCs in the country founded in 1993 ( originally housed in MWCOG) Organized as a a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with a board of directors, staff and a diverse membership stakeholder base Representative board members/stakeholders include Washington Gas, Eaton Corporation, K. Neal Trucking, DC Water, MWCOG, Georgetown, PG County Fleet and others
