Strategic Program Presence A Must for 7700 Success: • Shared view of best program “fit” in metro without cannibalizing home campus unless market shift dictates • Audience belief in program “staying” power • EL to collaboratively tap the pulse of professional connections of the program when faculty “in the know” have limited time and resources. • Create a clear measurable strategic goal for program commitment • Example… • College: College of Ed • Goal: Develop a Twin Cities Teacher Recruitment Center at 7700 France tomeet current teacher output goals (integrated with Bush Foundation grant) • Measures: • Generate 700 effective teachers per yrby 2020. Current output is 300 teachers • Of those 700 teachers, 25% shall be teacher candidates of color (current % of teachers of color of the overall #of teachers the College generates is 0.6%. • Increase enrollment in current off-campus components of teacher preparation • and licensure programs by a minimum of 50%.
