Who Benefits Most from Online/Hybrid Deliveries • Those unable to attend class at least half time • Persons serving in the Armed Forces • Those who are disabled • People who work rotating shifts • Those who live long distances from a physical campus • Lack of transportation – their own or public • Caretakers
Challenges for Hybrid Delivery • Course must be adaptable • Students must work independently • Instruction accomplished in shorter period of class time • Assignments clearly stated on syllabus or weekly schedule
Challenges for Online Delivery • Deliver course content that engages students • Address students questions in a timely manner • “Group” office hours or one-on-one additional instruction • Secure online testing
