  2. 3 Protected Areas: La Paya National Natural Park in Colombia, Güeppí Reserved Zone in Peru and Cuyabeno Faunal Production Reserve in Ecuador

  3. AIM The Programme aims to build a coordinated regional management model for conservation and sustainable development, and to influence public and sector environmental policies in the national and regional levels by developing operational, technical and financial tools and mechanisms.

  4. STRATEGIC LINES OF ACTION Management of the corridor’s protected areas and their influence zones: Surveillance and control; research and monitoring; tourism promotion; environmental goods and services; zoning and regulation; capacity-building and strengthening of local and national teams. Social participation in natural resource management:liaison with local population for use and management of natural resources; capacity strengthening; cultural and natural heritage protection. Strengthening of the conservation Corridor:territorial and environmental planning; inter-institutional and inter-sectorial agreement mechanisms. Strengthening of institutional capacity: horizontal cooperation; positioning; articulation with regional processes/institutions.
